1. Field decision-support only
TrapFinder is a planning, mapping and field-record tool. It is not a substitute for official laws, regulations, posted notices, landowner permission, professional advice or your own field judgment. You are responsible for confirming current seasons, methods, quotas, licences, closures, access rights, trap-check requirements, property boundaries and other legal obligations with the appropriate authority.
2. Maps and location data
Map boundaries, traplines, zones, parcels, trails, access layers, GPS positions and other geographic information may contain errors, delays, omissions or differences from official records. Do not rely on TrapFinder as the sole source for legal boundaries or access rights.
3. Safety
Outdoor travel and trapping involve inherent risks. You are responsible for weather, ice, water, terrain, wildlife, equipment, vehicle and personal-safety decisions. TrapFinder does not provide emergency or rescue services.
4. Regulations and market information
Regulation and fur-market information may change after publication. Verify official regulatory requirements before acting. Market information is informational only and does not guarantee sale price, demand or proceeds.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. Do not share passwords or attempt to access another user’s data.
6. Subscriptions
Paid features may require an active subscription purchased through Apple, Google or another authorized platform. Pricing, taxes, billing periods, renewal and cancellation are governed by the applicable purchase platform and the terms shown at checkout.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape protected data at scale, reverse engineer restricted components, or use TrapFinder to facilitate unlawful activity.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of field notes, photos and other content you create. You grant TrapFinder the limited rights necessary to store, process, synchronize and display that content to provide the service.
9. Availability
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, data sources or services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect GPS accuracy, complete data coverage or continuous third-party service availability.
10. Disclaimers and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrapFinder is provided “as is” and “as available.” TrapFinder is not liable for losses arising from reliance on inaccurate mapping, regulatory summaries, market information, weather, location data, connectivity or user-entered information, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
